Cory Verner

I spent nearly four years living out the movie Office Space at Channelwave, Inc. (now Digital River) in Aliso Viejo, CA, before wising up to start christianaudio with John and Dave (the other letterpop! co-founders) and others. Since then I have been able to significantly increase my working hours for a 1/3 of the pay! But I love going to work in the morning.

At Channelwave I managed large enterprise web implementations for clients such as HP, Sony, and Toshiba. I did carry my own faxes over to the development group. We managed almost 100 clients and I witnessed the creation of over 10,000 issues in our project management system. None of which I can remember now, thank goodness.

Christianaudio is still thriving as the largest producer of thoughtful spoken word audio in the Christian market. It owns christianaudio.com, one of the leading digital download providers in the digital audiobook space. We continue to experience 100+% growth year-over-year. Dave Bruno

I'm one of the three "scruffy" guys behind LetterPop! And i've turned into something of a compulsive entrepreneur of late. Perhaps it runs in the family. My father owns a small IT consulting company, where I worked for over eight years mostly as a Recruiter. Recruiting gave me a background in tenacity, which is required to be an entrepreneur. It's the great relationships, though, that have given me whatever success I share with others.

That includes the success of christianaudio.com and it's audiobook publishing imprint, Hovel Audio. Christianaudio is the largest website offering download audio content for the Christian market. And Hovel publishes over 150 best-selling and classic audiobooks, making it a mid-tier publisher in the audiobook industry.

If you Google "guynameddave" you will find my online personality and learn a bit about my actual personality. Most important there is my lovely wife, three lovely daughters, and Christian faith. I'm one of the John Watsons on the first page of Google when you search for John Watson but not one of the famous ones.

I'm a professional software engineer and I've been doing that since 1994, although I've been programming computers as a hobby since I was about 10.

I was born in 1972. I live in southern California with my wife and two children, a boy and a girl, whom I write about frequently on my blog (you know, when I'm not writing bios about myself).

I'm also a free and open source software advocate and I'd like to thank several projects without which LetterPop would have been much more difficult to create. Thank you PHP, MySql, Prototype, Script.aculo.us, TinyMCE, and WordPress.
