Turn Around Tuesday

Now that we have gotten past Monday, let's have a fantastic week!

I am glad it's Tuesday but I can't wait until Thursday.  The savvy business women from eWomen Network are getting together for their monthly event.  Not on the list? Email Lisa Cree and she can handle it.  If this event is full - it is a popular bunch - she can give you all the information you need for the next one.

See you next week
(or perhaps Thursday),

The summer is the busiest time of the year for my cousin the landscaper. Same is probably true for people in the pool business, ice cream shops, and the like.

However, for a good many of us, the summer can be the hardest time to get things done. Vacations to take, yards to tend, kids out of school, crazy client schedules - we really do spend a good bit of our time chasing our tails. We do a lot of work, and get absolutely nothing done.

Businesses can run that way, they may even be mildly successful - but they won't excel. It's great to know you can work under pressure. But will that make you an innovator?

My idea - I am going to take pool day with my kids. No phone, no laptop, no fax. Just the primitive notebook and pen. Between the splashes, the squeals, and the "hey mom watch this" requests, I am going to ponder innovation in my industry. Where are we now, how did we get here, and what's next?

Success is in the answer to, "What's next?"
