Q, q is for Quarrelsome Queen

This week we met the Quarrelsome Queen from Letterland.  We learned that being quarrelsome means to get into fights. When the queen needs to calm down, she sits in her circular, quiet room  on a little seat (the capital letter Q).  We also learned that the queen never goes anywhere without her umbrella, since q and u always go together.

Queenie Farmer Has 15 Daughters-on the day Queenie had 15 daughters, her prized cows ran away, so Queenie poured her energy into caring for her daughters, then later her grand-kids.  But she kept Sundays free to do her favorite thing- paint pictures of her cows.

Adding mattresses to beds.  Counting-comparing more/less

The Princess and the Pea-a true princess would be able to feel a pea under the mattress, even if there are many mattresses. Children rolled the dice and counted out mattresses (sponges) for our dollhouse beds.
