 Characters:                                                        - Rick: Rick is a 32 year old American born football player. Rick is an ex NFL player who now plays in the Italian football league. Rick is an injury pron person who never fulfilled his expectation of afootball player                                                               -- Arnie: Is a middle age man whos job is to be an agent for sports stars.  He has a stubborn personality and he wants it his way or no way. He is about to give up on being an agent for Rick.                                                                 -Coach Russo: Coach is a little old Italian man who asks as if his team is a joke. Coach downplays all his players when talking to Rick. Coach also asks as Ricks tour guide while he is in Italy. 

Conflicts:

Person vs. Person- Rick has a conflict Arnie. The conflict throughout the whole book is where should Rick go to play football. It is hard on Rick because Arnie always wants it to be his way but Rick wants it otherways.                                    -

Person vs. Society- Rick has the whole city of cleveland against him after he loses the Browns the superbowl. Rick then goes to Italy and all the American writters are out to get him.                                       -  

Person vs. Self- RIck has to ask himself if and where he would like his football career to go next. Rick also has to make a descision on whether to go back to the NFL once he does good in Italy.

Setting:

The setting is present day in a little old city called Parma, Italy. The main sport is rugby here but  Rick makes the fans enjoy the game of football.

Point of View- THe POV is third person omnicient.

Exposition

  • THe exposition is when RIck is playing football in Cleveland and he blows the Browns the Superbowl.

Rising Action

  • RIck gets hurt at the end of the game and ends up in the hospital
  • Rick exits the hospital and the media is all over him.
  • RIck decides he is go to leave Cleveland.
  • Rick goes home to Iowa to see his parents.
  • Rick talks to Arnie about getting him another job.
  • Arnie calls RIck to tell him about a job in Italy.
  • Rick decides to take the chance and he goes to Italy.
  • Ricks team gets off to a great start.
  • Arnie calls Rick to tell him that he wants him to play in Canada.
  • RIck tells Arnie he will think about it.

Climax

  • Rick decides he is having the time of his life in Italy and he tells Arnie he will be staying there.

Falling action

  • THe team is glad rick stays.
  • Rick decides to fire Arnie.
  • The team continues to win.
  • RIck decides to sign a contract extension in Italy.

Resolution

  • RIcks team wins the superbowl and RIck is happy he stayed in Italy.

The theme in this story is to make decision for yourself do not let others make them for you.
