Conflicts
The major conflict is that Mr. and Mrs. Dickens are very sick and are dieing. Eddie then has to go live with his
Mad Aunt Maud and Mad Uncle Jack. While living with them they take Eddie to the orphanage and he then has
to live there. Of course Eddie doesn't want to live there. He then tries to escape from the orphanage to get
back home. He manages to get out and hurries home.

Author
Over six and a half feet tall, with a bushy beard Philip Ardagh
is not only very big but also very hairy. He is the author of the Eddie
Dickens Trilogy and when not writing silly books, Mr. Ardagh is quite
serious and frowns a great deal. He lives in a seaside town somewhere
in England with his wife, and their son, Fred.
Setting
It is in Europe in the early 1800's.
Theme
The theme is that no matter how weird our relatives may be we have to accept them for who they are.
Recomendation
I would recommend this book to anyone my age. The story is a little hard to follow with the confusing words and phrases.
Plot Line
Exposition - Eddies parents get sick.
Rising Action - He has to go live with his aunt and uncle. Then they take him to the orphanage to live there
Climax - He tries to escape the orphanage.
Falling Action - When he is on his way home to his parents.
Resolution - He gets back home and his parents are no longer sick.
Recommendation
I would recommend this book to anyone my age. The story is a little hard to follow with the confusing words and phrases.
