Should the police protect or kill you?
Last night, around 10:15 pm. Juvenile Delinquent, Dallas Winston also known as Dally, a seventeen year old greaser was killed by police officers, Vancha March, Ejay Falcon and Steve Leonard.
Dallas (Dally) Winston robbed a convenience store called Spencer's Special. While he was headed out the door to escape, the cashier, Robert Pagiua, tried to shoot him but only got him in the leg.
"I panicked and i was scared so I fired everywhere. I knew I got him in the leg so I was surprised how he ran so fast," Robert said. Dallas went running to Inkster Park, because the police cornered him in the middle. But detective Coil Smith found a mark of blood right beside a telephone booth near the park. And it seemed to be from Dallas' wound. But why did he stop at the telephone booth when the police were already after him? Who did he call?
"When he pulled out a heater, we had no choice but to shoot. It was only for self defense. But even before we fired, there were people running and shouting trying to stop us from shooting." Officer Ejay Falcon said. "And it seemed to be Dallas' friends, Ponyboy, Sodapop and Darrel Curtis. Kieth Matthews and Steven Randle.
As Darrel continued with the story, he mentioned a current death of another close friend. "He was so young to die. He didn't know any better, he was just too upset about the death of our friend Johnny. He meant the world to Dally, he just couldn't take it." Darrel said. "Johnny died because he helped save kids from a burning church, Dally was there too."Dallas who just days before, became a hero by saving children's lives from a church fire got the reward no one wants. His reward for doing a good deed was death.
"We decided to talk to Darrel Curtis also known as Darry. He said "He called that night. He sounded so tired, trying to catch his breath. I asked him what was wrong. He said that he robbed a store and that the police are after him. He told us to meet him at Inkster Park, so we headed there." And that explained the blood that was found at the telephone booth. Dallas had called Darrel Curtis and his friends for help.

Beaten, Busted, Blame
Karl was a greaser, who got beaten up by mean socs, Max and Gerald. Then, Micheal who didn't do anything saw Karl on the ground. He tried to help him, but he didn't know what to do. When Jayson came, looking for Karl. He saw micheal there with Karl on the ground. And Jayson blamed Micheal to what happened. Micheal knew who beat Karl up. But he didn't want to tell. So he took the blame, and was punished for what people think he did, but didn't do.
A greaser, who wished for a better life. He tried everything to get the wishes he wanted. He wished on a dandelion, then blew it away. He wished on four leaf clover. He wished on a wishbone, then broke it in two. Then he wished on a wishing fountain, with so much pennies and almost filled up the fountain with his wishes and dreams. People actually came up to him and told him to stop wishing, because a greaser will always be a greaser.
